ジョン・レノン MBE(本名：出生時ジョン・ウィンストン・レノン／John Winston Lennon MBE、オノ・ヨーコと結婚後ジョン・ウィンストン・オノ・レノン／John Winston Ono Lennon, 1940年10月9日 - 1980年12月8日）
イギリス・リヴァプール生まれ。ロックバンド、ザ・ビートルズの中心メンバーであった。
エルヴィス・プレスリーやチャック・ベリー、バディ・ホリーと言ったアメリカのロックンロールに夢中になり音楽に目覚める。
ビートルズ。ソロになってからも素晴らしい曲を作り続ける。
1980年12月8日、ニューヨーク市の自宅アパート「ダコタハウス」前において、狂信的なファンとされるマーク・チャップマンに殺害された。
